# Send an email campaign to a segment or everyone who agreed

Email the contacts who agreed to hear from you, with a segment or the whole list, scheduling, a test send, unsubscribe links, bounce handling, and open and click numbers.

Campaigns let you tell customers about news, offers and changes, without a separate email tool.

## Before you send

- You need a plan with campaigns (Essentials and above).
- Email must be working for the website. For the best delivery, [send from your own address](/docs/own-email-sending) and set up [SPF, DKIM and DMARC](/docs/email-deliverability-spf-dkim-dmarc).
- Frosvo asks for your postal address before the first campaign.
- Only email people who agreed to hear from you.

## Create a campaign

1. Open **Campaigns** in the desk and choose **New campaign**.
2. Give it a **Name** (only your team sees it).
3. Choose the **From** website, write the **Subject** and the **Message**. Use the "Fill in per person" fields to personalise.
4. Choose the audience: **a segment**, or **everyone who agreed to marketing**.
5. Click **Send me a test** and read it in your own inbox.
6. Click **Save draft** to finish later, **Schedule** to pick a **Send at** time, or **Send now**.

## After it goes out

The campaign page shows how many people it reached and who **opened** and **clicked**, and lists failures. Bounces and unsubscribes are suppressed automatically, so you do not email them again. Use **Add to the list** to add addresses of people who asked to be included.

## Good habits

- Write for one person and one action.
- Keep segments precise: see [contacts and segments](/docs/contacts-campaigns).
- Send tests to a real inbox and look at it on a phone.
- Honour unsubscribes and data requests, as explained in [your data](/docs/privacy).

## Common questions

**Why did fewer people receive it than I expected?** Contacts who did not agree to marketing, unsubscribed, or bounced earlier are left out automatically.

**Can I send from another address?** Choose the website in From; its email settings decide the sender. See [sending from your own address](/docs/own-email-sending).
