# Make the chat your own

Source: https://frosvo.com/docs/widget-settings

Colours, greeting, office hours, ratings and what the widget asks for — per website.

Everything about how the chat looks and behaves is under **Settings → Widget**, separately for each website.

## Look

- **Accent colour** and **logo**.
- **Position** — bottom right or bottom left.
- **Greeting** — the first line visitors see.
- **Hide "Powered by Frosvo"** — on paid plans. It removes the line in the chat, the small "Chat by Frosvo" link under the chat button, and the "Powered by Frosvo" line on your help centre, status page and booking pages.

## When nobody's in

- **Office hours** per weekday, in your time zone. Outside them the widget shows your **away message**.
- **Replies by email** — if a visitor leaves before you answer, your reply reaches them by email with a link back to the chat. You can set the reply-to address.
- **Ask for an email first** — require an email address before the first message.

## The assistant

Turn the AI assistant on or off for the website, and give it a name. See [The AI assistant](/docs/ai-assistant).

## Ratings

With **ratings** on, visitors are asked to rate a conversation when it's resolved. Good ratings can turn into published reviews — see [Engage](/docs/engage).

## Language

The widget speaks the visitor's language — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Arabic, Urdu and Chinese — picked from their browser, and Arabic and Urdu read right to left. To choose one yourself, add `data-locale="fr"` to the snippet. Your greeting and away message are shown as you wrote them.

## Identity verification

Turn it on in **Settings → Websites → Identity verification** and keep the secret on your server. For a signed-in user, sign their lowercase email with it — hex HMAC-SHA256 — and pass the result: `Frosvo.setUser({ email, name, hash })`. The team then sees **Verified identity** on the conversation, and the person's chats follow them to any browser or device. An email without a valid hash is just what the visitor typed and never joins anyone else's history.

## From your own code

The snippet adds `window.Frosvo` to your page: `Frosvo.open()`, `Frosvo.close()`, `Frosvo.toggle()`, `Frosvo.setUser({ name, email })`, `Frosvo.setPage(name, url)` and `Frosvo.setConsent(true)` (connect your cookie banner: no proactive messages before consent).
