Getting started

Move from Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias or Crisp

Import your contacts and conversations from another helpdesk into Frosvo with dates, authors and notes kept, without sending anything to your customers.

Last updated

Bring your history with you. Owners can import from Settings → Import.

What comes over

  • Intercom — contacts and conversations, with notes.
  • Zendesk — end users and tickets, with private comments.
  • Freshdesk — contacts and tickets, with private notes.
  • Gorgias — customers and tickets, with internal notes.
  • Crisp — contacts and conversations, with notes.

Conversations keep their original dates, authors and open or closed state. Nothing is sent to your customers.

Running an import

  1. Choose the helpdesk and enter the details it asks for (an API token or key — the form says where to find it).
  2. Choose which of your websites the conversations belong to.
  3. Press Start import. Frosvo checks the details first, then works in the background; you can leave the page and watch the numbers later.

Only one import runs at a time, and you can cancel it. Running the same import again only adds what's new — handy on the day you switch over. The details you entered are used only for the import and deleted when it ends.

Before you start

Get the API token or key from the other helpdesk. The import form tells you which one and where to find it. Decide which Frosvo website the conversations should belong to.

While it runs

Frosvo checks your details first, then works in the background. You can leave the page and look at the numbers later. Only one import runs at a time, and you can cancel it.

After it finishes

  1. Open the Inbox and look at a few old conversations to check dates, authors and notes.
  2. Look at Contacts to confirm people came across.
  3. Point your website and mailboxes at Frosvo: install the chat and connect your mailbox.

Importers keep conversation dates and open or closed state. Notes stay private notes.

Frequently asked questions

Will my customers get emails about imported conversations?

No. Imported messages are marked as already read and replied, so no email is sent for history.

Can I run the import again?

Yes. A second run adds only what is new, which is useful on the day you switch over.

What happens to the token I enter?

It is used only for the import and deleted when the import ends.

Is there a limit?

Imports each month are limited by plan. The Usage page shows how many you have started.
