LINE is widely used in parts of Asia. Connect your Official Account so those customers reach the same inbox as everyone else.
What you need
- A LINE Official Account and a Messaging API channel in the LINE Developers console.
- Owner or Channels permission in Frosvo.
Steps
- In the LINE Developers console create a Messaging API channel.
- Copy the Channel secret and issue a long-lived channel access token.
- In Frosvo go to Channels, click Add channel and choose LINE. Pick the website, name the connection and paste both values.
- Click Save and check.
- Copy the address shown under Steps to turn it on in Frosvo. In LINE set it as the Webhook URL, switch on Use webhook, and switch off auto-reply messages.
- Then tick I have added this address in LINE.
- Make sure Account checked has a tick, then click Turn on messaging.
- Message your Official Account and confirm the chat appears in the Inbox, then reply.
What to expect
Customers' LINE messages appear as conversations from LINE. LINE signs every request with your channel secret and Frosvo verifies it, so forged messages are ignored.
Tips
- Keep your channel secret and access token private. Saved secrets are never shown again in Frosvo.
- Re-issue the token in LINE if you ever suspect it leaked, then paste the new one in Frosvo.
- Match your brand's tone in replies, and use shared replies for common answers.
Troubleshooting
If messages do not arrive, check that the webhook is on and the URL matches exactly. See troubleshooting. Other chat apps: Viber and Telegram. All channels are listed in the channels overview.
Common questions
What if the secret changes? Update it in Frosvo and save, leaving the other fields as they are.
Why do customers get an automatic LINE answer? The built-in auto-reply is still on. Switch it off in LINE and keep Use webhook on.
