If your site runs on a common platform, you do not have to edit code. A package adds the Frosvo chat for you.
Choose your platform
| Platform | Package | Guide | |---|---|---| | WordPress and WooCommerce | Frosvo Live Chat for WordPress | Download page | | WHMCS | Frosvo Live Chat for WHMCS (addon module) | Download page, WHMCS setup guide | | Joomla | Frosvo Live Chat for Joomla | Download page | | PrestaShop | Frosvo Live Chat for PrestaShop | Download page | | Magento 2 | Frosvo Live Chat for Magento 2 | Download page |
Each download page has the requirements, install steps, settings, update and removal instructions, a troubleshooting list and a changelog.
The steps are the same everywhere
- Get your site key. In Frosvo go to Settings → Websites, add your website if you have not, and copy its site key.
- Download the package from the page for your platform.
- Install it the way your platform installs extensions. On WordPress this is Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Paste the site key into the package's settings and save.
- Visit your site. The chat button should appear in the corner.
If the chat does not appear
- Check that the site key is pasted correctly and saved.
- On WordPress, administrators do not see the chat by default, so test while signed out or in a private window.
- Clear any caching or optimisation plugin, which can serve an old version of your pages.
- Check that your site's content security policy allows Frosvo's script.
The download pages list these checks for the specific platform.
Signed-in customers
The packages can send the name and email of customers who are signed in, so the team sees who they are talking to. This is explained in show signed-in customers by name.
Other sites
If your platform is not here, copy the chat snippet from Frosvo and paste it before the closing body tag of your pages. The install guide shows how. Building your own connection? See the developer docs, and browse the plugin marketplace for other tools.
