The Frosvo desktop app is the same desk you use in the browser, with system notifications, an unread badge on the taskbar and keyboard shortcuts. Get it from the download page or from the same page for your system.
Install on Windows
- Get Frosvo from the Microsoft Store — the easiest way: it installs without any warning and the Store keeps it up to date. Or download the installer from the download page. Either needs Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11.
- If you used the downloaded installer and Windows shows Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
- Frosvo installs for your Windows account — no administrator rights needed — and opens by itself.
Sign in
Click Sign in and use your Frosvo email and password. To sign in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub or single sign-on, choose Sign in with your browser: your usual browser opens, you confirm, and the browser hands you back to the app signed in. Two-step verification works the same as on the web.
Notifications
The first time a chat arrives, Windows asks whether Frosvo may show notifications — allow it. Clicking a notification opens that conversation; Reply lets you answer without opening the app. If notifications don't appear, check that Windows Focus assist (Do not disturb) is off and that Frosvo is allowed under Windows Settings → System → Notifications.
Your status
Click your picture at the bottom of the desk's sidebar to choose Online, Away or Do not disturb. Away and Do not disturb take you out of new chats, so they go to teammates. In the app's Preferences you can let Frosvo set you to Away when you lock your screen or leave the computer idle, and choose quiet hours when notifications and sounds stay off.
More than one workspace
Add another workspace in Preferences → Workspaces. Each one keeps its own sign-in, all of them notify you, and the desk's sidebar shows every workspace with its unread count — click one to switch, or press Ctrl + 1 … 9.
Updates
Frosvo checks for new versions in the background and asks whether to restart now or later. New desk features reach the app as soon as they ship, without an update.
Uninstall
Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Frosvo and choose Uninstall. Your conversations stay on your Frosvo account.
