Install the chat on your website in one line

Paste one snippet before the closing body tag, or use a ready-made plugin, then check that the chat is live. Works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and any site.

Last updated

Each website in Frosvo has its own snippet. Find it in Settings → Websites (or on the Get started screen). It looks like this:

<script src="https://your-frosvo-address/w.js" data-site="your-site-key" async></script>

Paste it just before the closing </body> tag on every page — usually in your site's shared footer or layout.

Website builders

  • WordPress — use your theme's "footer scripts" setting or a plugin that adds code to the footer, and paste the snippet there.
  • Shopify — Online Store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid, and paste it before </body>.
  • Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and others — look for "custom code", "code injection" or "footer code" in the site settings, and paste it there for all pages.
  • Google Tag Manager — add a Custom HTML tag with the snippet, firing on all pages.

Check it's live

Open your site in a browser: the chat button appears in the corner. The first time the chat opens on your site's own address, Frosvo marks the website as live — you'll see it on the Get started screen.

You can also press Check my site there: Frosvo looks at your home page for the snippet and tells you what it finds (no snippet, another website's snippet, or an error from the site). If you add the chat through a tag manager the check can't see it — just open your site once instead.

Only on your own site

The website's address list (Settings → Websites) says which sites may show its chat. A copy of your snippet on someone else's site won't open.

Make it your own

After it is live, open the website in Settings → Widget to set colours, welcome text and hours. The widget settings guide explains each one.

Show who is signed in

If your customers sign in to your site, tell Frosvo who they are so your team sees names, not strangers: see show signed-in customers by name.

If it is not showing

Walk through troubleshooting. The usual causes are a snippet from another website, an address that is not listed, or a cached page.

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly do I paste the snippet?

Just before the closing body tag on every page, usually in your site's shared footer or layout.

Why does the chat not open on a copy of my site?

The chat opens only on the addresses listed for the website in Settings, then Websites. A copy of your snippet on another site will not open.

Is there a plugin for my platform?

Yes for WordPress, WHMCS, Joomla, PrestaShop and Magento. See the platform plugins guide.
