Open chat invites junk. Frosvo gives you two tools to keep your inbox for real customers.
Mark a conversation as spam
- Open the conversation in the Inbox.
- Click the Mark as spam button in the conversation header.
The conversation is closed and moves to the Spam view in the inbox list. It no longer counts as an open chat that needs an answer.
Bring it back
Open the Spam view, choose the conversation and click Not spam. It becomes an open conversation again and goes back to waiting for an answer.
Block a visitor
Spam is about one conversation. If the same person keeps coming back, block them.
- Open any conversation from that visitor.
- Click Block this visitor in the header.
From then on that visitor cannot send you messages from their browser. If they try, they see "This chat is closed." Blocked visitors are also left out of proactive messages and pop-ups. A red Blocked label shows under their name in your inbox.
To let them back, open the conversation and click Unblock this visitor.
Which one should I use?
| Situation | Use | |---|---| | One-off junk message or a bot | Mark as spam | | Someone abusive who keeps returning | Block this visitor | | A real customer you closed by mistake | Not spam, or reopen the conversation |
Good to know
- Blocking is tied to the visitor's browser profile on your website. A person using another device is a new visitor.
- Spam and blocking apply inside your own workspace only.
- Closing, reopening and assigning work as described in the inbox guide.
Concerned about abuse more widely? Security and privacy lists the other protections.
Keep the inbox clean day to day
Check the Spam view now and then, because a real customer is sometimes marked by mistake and a quick Not spam puts them back in the queue. If the same kind of junk arrives repeatedly, block the visitor as well as marking the conversation, so you do not have to clear it again tomorrow. Mention the rule to your team so everyone treats junk the same way.
